The surroundings
The house is independent and distant from other buildings. About 500 meters away are the first houses of the small village of Cerreto.
Just 2 km away is the first inhabited center, Venarotta, where you can find all the services you may need: bars, supermarkets, pharmacies, post offices, pizzerias, and restaurants. In the town, there is also a large municipal swimming pool located within a beautiful park. The pool is open from early July to the end of August, and we are available to help with booking sunshades.
“Marche House” is near the city of Ascoli Piceno (15 minutes by car), also known as “the city of a hundred towers” or “the city of travertine,” and today it is a unique and perfect mix of different eras: Roman, medieval, and Renaissance.
About 40 minutes by car is the Forca di Presta pass, from which the main trail starts to reach the summit of Mount Vettore (2.476 m), the king of the Sibillini Mountains. For those seeking an easier route (also accessible to people with mobility difficulties), from Forca di Presta there is a 3 km walkway that ends with a beautiful viewpoint over the Monti della Laga.
About 35 minutes by car are the beaches of San Benedetto del Tronto and the magnificent “Riviera delle Palme,” so called because of the over 8,000 palm trees growing along its promenade and throughout the city center. Awarded the “Blue Flag,” the beaches of San Benedetto are sandy and gently slope into the sea with shallow waters.
